1st International One Health Conference 2023

Molecular biology in general and OMICS in particular is a new area and possesses a huge scope. The developed part of the world is taking full advantage of these latest techniques and tools to improve resistance against diseases. This conference is aimed at sensitizing the domestic brain to cope with the demands of the modern day.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan will provide a platform to the young and seasoned scientists from across Pakistan and abroad to showcase their research findings for the betterment of science and humanity.

Today, human beings are more exposed to various diseases that were not prevalent in the past. Increased population, rapid industrialization and human interventions in nature has made him at risk for numerous diseases. Traditional approaches to control diseases are: vaccination, case management, treatment and medication. However, molecular genetics and OMICS tools are the latest approaches to improve resistance against diseases.

In this conference, discussions will be opened with international and national experts about the use of the above tools to develop disease resistance in a broader perspective of One Health. The main purpose of this conference is to bring the fertile minds on one platform and develop strategies to combat diseases by utilizing the modern-day tools and make a way forward to better perform in the domain of disease resistance in the local situations.

Conference Objectives

• Disseminate knowledge and research findings related to enhancing disease resistance through the utilization of molecular genetics and OMICS tools
• Create a collaborative platform for all stakeholders to collectively devise effective solutions for challenges in improving host genetics and microbial resistance stewardship
• Explore new avenues within the field of life sciences to combat diseases
• Foster collaboration and networking among researchers, professionals, and facilitate stronger connections between academia and industry
• Showcase a variety of industry products to increase awareness among the general public
