Project Monitoring Visit of the Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akmal Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Islamabad, visited the College of Veterinary Sciences, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan for a project monitoring visit. During his visit, he inaugurated two newly approved research projects:

1. Development of Novel Bacteriophage Therapy Against Antimicrobial Resistant (AMR) Bacteria

2. Development of Vaccine Against Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD)

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akmal Khan reviewed the ongoing research activities and interacted with the project teams. He appreciated the efforts and progress made by the researchers and acknowledged the importance of these projects in addressing emerging challenges in animal health, particularly antimicrobial resistance and transboundary animal diseases.

The Chairman also encouraged the faculty and researchers to continue their efforts in developing innovative solutions that can contribute to livestock health, food security, and the national economy.
